About Bear
My dad used to draw crazy animals with the head of an alligator, and the neck of a giraffe, and the body of a lion, or whatever crazy part my sister would call out while at the dinner table in some fish house in no-where Tennessee. I remember being astonished by his ability to connect all these wild creatures. Years later, I found myself in art school watching a man flawlessly draw a nude model with a pencil in each hand while an entire class looked on, mouths agape. I remember wondering if I had made a mistake.
Bear was born in Middle Tennessee in 1992, and earned a BFA in Painting from Delta State University in 2014. His time is split between painting and photography, a competitive struggle that often results in decent collaboration between the two.
